Getting Fit and Staying Fit with Baby

Back to Blogs

This is my daily journeys with my son Matthew as we try to find new and fun ways to get out of the house and stay active.

So far life with Matthew has been a transformation from a life of freedom to a life full of demands but ever so rewarding.  He is already 16 weeks old and only now feel that I am ready to find time for other things in life besides him.  We have already covered so much ground, and hope that I can remember some of the adventures we've encountered thus far.

I'm almost certain that I had him out and walking at the Field House as early as two weeks.  I swear he was basically born on the track.  It has become our haven; a place to go to on our outings.  We both get something out of it; he get's an awsome sleep and I get to get my body back in shape as I walk around sometimes for two and a half hours.  Now Matthew is waking up and I put him in his carrier and he enjoys the forward facing position as we clip on our miles together.

I had him in the Pool at four weeks and found that to be too young so now I just recently started taking him again and we have a good time.  This is purely for his enjoyment.  I keep looking longingly over at the lane swimming pool and think of my life before Matthew and am soon snapped back to my darling little boy; all in due time, before I know it I'll be going to his graduation.

So that is about all the time I have right now.  Matthew is sleeping in his car seat and I am ready to go again.  Today we are planning to go to The Mendal Art Museum and check out the new exhibit- he loves the solarium.

Bye for now!
